Speedway Model A Rat Rod Frame
If low is good, lower must be better! That’s the philosophy behind the coolest retro rods being built today, and it’s the motivation Speedway Motors used to develop its all-new extra-low Model A frame.
Speedway calls it the Model A Rat Rod Frame, but you can rest assured that it’s no cobbled-together mix of worn-out parts. It’s a professionally engineered and expertly constructed frame that makes a perfect foundation for your retro-style rod. The fabricated frame rails feature sweeping front kickups to provide an extra-low stance, while a ’32 Ford front crossmember, lightened shock mounts and a Vega steering box mount make it simple to install a front suspension. Triangulated ladder bars are designed to position the rear axle above the frame rails to keep the back end equally low. The tubular rear crossmember accepts a ’40 Ford leaf spring, which can be mounted in one of three different positions to fine tune your ride height. Even the small-block Chevy engine and TH350 transmission mounts are engineered provide optimum ground clearance by positioning the engine oil pan even with the bottom of the frame.
The Model A Rat Rod Frame is designed to provide 4.5-inches of ground clearance with a 24-inch tall front tire and 30-inch tall rear tire. A hanging-style brake pedal is recommended due to the frame’s extra-low ride height.

Factory Five 33 Hot Rod A/C Kit
This heating/defrosting and AC system is from Vintage Air and was designed and developed using advanced CAD software. It includes everything required to run the system except for a compressor, mounting bracket, and refrigerant. Stock OEM compressors and brackets can be used or Vintage Air has various styles of brackets and compressors available depending on the engine application. The Evaporator unit and four knob controls are electronic and servo controlled so an engine vacuum is not needed.

Barry Grant¹s Triple D Multi Deuce
Hot rodders love the row of triple deuce carburetors. Nothing adds adds pizzazz and performance like multiple carbs. But sometimes, even three two-barrel carbs aren¹t enough. If you know what that¹s all about, Barry Grant comes to the rescue with your choice of multi two-barrels in a variety of configurations.
Two such examples of their wares are the 3 Deuce and 6 Deuce setups that combine modern function and performance with a classic, nostalgia look. Rodders had been asking Barry Grant for a tri-carb package, and the Demon 98 Triple Deuce is the answer. Built around a trio of Demon 98 3-bolt 2-barrel carbs, this intake package is a modern, high-performance interpretation of the vintage two-barrel intakes popularized in the Œ1950s by hot-rodders, and even used by some ‹ Oldsmobile, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Mopar, and others ‹ as factory options. Carbs are fully tuneable and flow about 205 cfm each and accepts 2 5/8-inch period style air filters or carb-top accessories. Float bowls have a very handy sight window and operate with fuel pressures of 6-7 psi ‹ compatible with electric fuel pumps, and much higher than the old Stromberg 97s could stand. Service parts are commonly available, and can be changed to tune the 98s to any cylinder head and camshaft combination. They can be set up with chrome fuel block and red hose as shown, or with adjustable billet fuel rail.
