MARK 7 CUSTOM MADE HIGH HORSEPOWER CROSS FLOW ALUMINUM RADIATORS

Cooling Sixties and early Seventies big-inch muscle car engines has been a problem since they were new. Certain body styles simply didn’t provide enough airflow for the original copper/brass, small-row radiators of the day. And this also holds true for many of today’s replacement radiators! Over heating is particularly acute with high horsepower engine swaps into 1964-’72 GM A-bodies. This Mark 7 aluminum radiator has been custom made for a big-block Olds 4-4-2, which has been upgraded with a built ’70 455-cid engine. The engine is backed by a beefed-up Turbo 400, so provisions for the transmission tubes are provided at the bottom, just like the factory radiator. But, there are big differences!
This radiator has been specifically made for this application, and features dual 1.25-inch cross flow cores, capable of cooling up to 750-dynoed horsepower in 100-degree weather, even with the A/C running. Cross Flow radiators provide more cooling efficiency due to a larger cooling area. All Mark 7 Radiators are custom made for your vehicle, they are not “off the shelf” units. You supply the specifications on your engine, transmission, etc., and in approximately three weeks, the big brown truck delivers your aluminum jewelry.
The quick cooling benefits of aluminum are huge, and this radiator is about 40% lighter than stock. The natural aluminum finish units start at approximately $650, with polishing or anodizing (black for the stock restored look or in 16 custom colors) slightly more. RARE PONTIACS TO BE AUCTIONED AT 2010 MECUM ORIGINAL SPRING CLASSIC IN MAY

* Lot S111 - 1963 Pontiac Catalina 421 Super Duty Swiss Cheese. This car was the first of 14 Swiss Cheese Super Duty Pontiacs produced and is from the Randy Williams Collection.
* Lot S112 - 1963 Pontiac Tempest Station Wagon, which is the only model left of the six Super Duty Wagons that were built. This car is also from the Randy Williams Collection.
* Lot S113 - 1963 Pontiac Tempest Coupe 421 Super Duty. One of only six Super Duty Coupes built and the only complete example still in existence today.
* Lot S114 - 1965 Pontiac GTO known as "The GeeTO Tiger." The holy grail of GTOs, this car was given away as a contest grand prize during the '65 NHRA Indy Nationals. It features gold Hurst wheels and a gold Hurst shifter.
* Lot S115 - 1965 Pontiac GTO Hurst Riverside 500 Pace Car, which was originally purchased by Motor Trend and George Hurst of Hurst Performance Products. It is the only surviving pace car from the Riverside 500.
